After deciding to open a preschool in Utah, I began researching the current options for parents in this state. I was amazed to discover that preschool programs in Utah are not regulated at all. Directors and teachers are not required to hold any degrees or be state-licenced teachers. This really concerned me.
So, my goals in creating my preschool program were simple.
1. Create an academic Pre-K program where beginning literacy is the cornerstone of all subjects.
2. Use the knowledge and skills I have gained teaching in public schools to prepare students to succeed.
3. Instill a love of learning in each of my students at an early age; one that will follow them throughout their academic career and hopefully the rest of their lives!
